Renaud’s Patisserie, a beloved French bakery in Santa Barbara, California, is renowned for its exquisite pastries, delicate cakes, and authentic French flavors. To enhance the presentation of their beautiful desserts and elevate the customer experience, we embarked on a project to create custom cake boxes. The vision for this project was to design cake boxes that not only protect and preserve the quality of their baked goods, but also reflect the elegance and artistry of their offerings.


We wanted the packaging to capture the essence of French patisserie, combining practicality with aesthetic appeal, to give their customers a taste of Renaud’s excellence from the moment they lay eyes on the box. Collaborating with a local design firm, we set out to create boxes that reflect the sophistication and charm of Renaud’s Patisserie.

We chose high-quality, sturdy cardboard for the boxes, ensuring that they are strong enough to support their delicate creations while also being easy to carry. The exterior of the boxes feature a clean and crisp matte finish in a soft pink, reminiscent of traditional French patisseries, with subtle gold accents that add a touch of luxury. Their logo, a stylish emblem that reflects the artisanal nature of their bakery, is prominently displayed on the lid, further reinforcing their brand identity.

The defining feature of the boxes is the large, clear PVC window on the top, which allows customers to admire the intricate designs and craftsmanship of their cakes before unboxing. This window is framed in gold, adding a sophisticated touch and making each cake feel like a work of art. The boxes are also designed with easy-to-use closures, making them convenient for customers to open and close without compromising the stability of the cakes inside.

To elevate the brand and provide their customers with a truly memorable experience, we embarked on a custom packaging project that reflects the elegance and exclusivity of their collections. The goal was simple yet ambitious: we wanted the packaging to exude luxury from the moment it arrived at their customers’ door, leaving a lasting impression of sophistication and quality.


The design process began with an exploration of materials that are both luxurious and sustainable. We opted for sleek, matte-finished boxes crafted from eco-friendly materials which were complemented by plush velvet interiors that cradle each piece of jewelry. The exterior of the packaging was designed to be understated yet striking, with a minimalist approach that lets the quality speak for itself. Their logo, a symbol of elegance and craftsmanship, was debossed to add a subtle but unmistakable premium touch. Each box was carefully sized to ensure a perfect fit for their various jewelry pieces, from delicate rings to statement necklaces. The finishing touch was a custom ribbon closure, making the unboxing experience akin to receiving a gift from a high-end boutique.

Mamas Medicinals is a botanical skincare company that is passionate about nourishing and rejuvenating their clients skin and body with the finest natural ingredients. The goal of this project was to design packaging that not only protects their violet glass product bottles but enhances the customer experience, reflecting the premium quality and nurturing essence that are essential to their brand. To compliment the purity and craftsmanship of their skincare line, we created custom round boxes for their bottles and cream containers. The round boxes needed to embody the brand’s commitment to natural ingredients while adding a touch of elegance, making each product feel like a treasured gift.


Our designer understood the client’s vision of combining natural simplicity with a luxurious touch. The round shape of the boxes was chosen for its softness and organic feel, echoing the gentle, healing nature of their skincare. This natural base is beautifully complemented by gold accents, which include a delicate gold rim around the lid and a gold-embossed logo on top. Each box is carefully sized to fit their range of products, from the slender bottles of facial oils and serums to the round jars of creams and balms.

Customers received their products beautifully encased in these elegant boxes, turning each purchase into a special occasion. The packaging has not only elevated the aesthetic appeal of their products but also reinforced the brand’s identity as a provider of premium, nature-inspired skincare. At Harlem Candles, a luxury candle brand, the essence of Harlem’s rich culture and history is at the heart of everything they do. To elevate their brand and resonate even deeper with their customers, we embarked on a custom packaging project that would capture the spirit of Harlem by exuding elegance and sophistication. Their candles are more than just scents—they’re an experience, a tribute to the vibrancy and soul of Harlem.


We wanted the packaging to be bold, luxurious, and deeply rooted in the Harlem Renaissance, paying homage to the creativity and resilience of the Black community. The design took inspiration from Harlem’s iconic art, jazz music, and vibrant street life. We chose rich, deep colors like midnight blue, gold, and burgundy, reminiscent of a jazz club at night, with accents of metallic foil to add a touch of luxury. 

The packaging featured intricate patterns, seamlessly woven into a modern design that speaks to both heritage and contemporary elegance. Their logo, a stylized flame that symbolizes both light and the enduring spirit of Harlem, was embossed in gold, adding a tactile element that feels as luxurious as the candles themselves. 

The custom packaging has not only enhanced the luxury appeal of Harlem Candles but also reinforced their brand’s identity as a tribute to Harlem. Customers have praised the packaging for its beauty and thoughtfulness, noting that the unboxing experience is just as special as the candles. Each candle is now a work of art, deeply connected to its roots, and has solidified their place in the high-end market while honoring the community they celebrate.

The Plaza Hotel in New York City is synonymous with timeless elegance and holiday magic. To celebrate the holiday season, we envisioned creating a gift box that captures the spirit and joy of Christmas. The box was designed to reflect the grandeur and enchantment of a Plaza holiday.


Drawing inspiration from The Plaza’s iconic holiday decor and the timeless elegance of New York City during Christmas time, we chose a rich red velvet as the primary material for both the exterior and interior of the box. The velvet’s rich, plush texture perfectly embodies the luxurious atmosphere of the hotel, while its deep hues capture the festive spirit. To add a touch of Plaza elegance, the box was adorned with The Plaza’s signature crest, intricately embossed in gold foil, which shines like Christmas lights against the velvet backdrop.

The Christmas gift box was introduced as part of The Plaza’s limited-edition holiday offerings and quickly became a resounding success. Guests and customers alike have praised the box for its exquisite design and festive charm. The gift box is now preferred for high-end presentations, such as fine jewelry, gourmet chocolates, and bespoke ornaments, making every gift exchange at The Plaza even more special.

Sales of the Christmas gift box exceeded expectations, with many customers purchasing them as standalone pieces to use as decorative holiday storage or as cherished mementos of their time at The Plaza. It has also strengthened The Plaza’s brand as a destination for unforgettable holiday experiences with guests sharing their beautifully wrapped gifts on social media.
